Oh my, what uninspired vocal performances…!

At least we finally get a white lion in a LK property… ;)

While I didn’t see Sonic 3 trampling this new LK, as per our front page story, it’s no great surprise that Mufasa isn’t going to be the billion-dollar c(l)ub even by the end of its run. Who wanted to see a Lion King *prequel* anyway!?

As I joked above, we all know he dies, and they’ve had to go and retcon the whole Scar relationship to force an unneeded backstory to "work". Leave well enough alone!

Simba was originally white with black tipped ears in the first drawings but disneys lawyer said, "guys I'm good but not that good!" and they changed his colors!

Pretty funny.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Still donut think it’s going to break much past $500-600m globally, far from the original and not enough to earn much if any profit after marketing. I can’t see a Part III anytime soon; I reckon it could hit streaming for Valentines…

Here is what the comments are saying in that link.
Should easily pass $600m with a decent chance of $700m.
It is gonna break even 600m or 700m Good year for Disney
It's grossed over $200 million dollars worldwide since last week, and that's exactly the sort of boost forward that this movie needed.

So long as it keeps holding well through January, it should be a successful film for Disney (the most successful installment in their "live-action remake" series that they've had for the last few years now).
I can see a path to $700-800M+ Disney's having a good year
Not only is $600M+ worldwide an absolute certainty at this rate, but I can totally see it getting to $700M.
Nicee! 700m seems doable but definitely 100+ more WW than sonic 3 is locked.
So many say $600m to $700m and maybe $800m.

Yeah, it’ll probably keep going through Jan…that’s a point, when there’s not much new releasing and after Moana, Sonic and the witches have been seen…and could do 6-700m, I guess, maybe more, but still very short of the 1.7bn on the first one. Would be an impressive turnaround if it can break a billion, and I donut think many saw a Sonic 3 beating a LK title, at least initially, even if balance seems to have since been restored to the pridelands… ;)

#Mufasa will cross $300M INT today. New Year holidays are now over, though parts of the world will see winter and summer holidays for the next couple of weeks. On track to $450M final. Worldwide will flirt with the $700M mark
