New VeggieTales Movie coming in 2026?

Like everyone was clamoring for another VeggieTales flick? Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie came out almost 22 years ago, and has no real cultural impact. Sure, it may have made *some* money, but that was only because CGI animated features were still quite new back then.

Is this all still with DreamWorks-slash-Universal? If so, it’s not a surprise. They’ve been riffling through any and all old properties they have a handle on and seeing how to revitalise them, hence the recent Puss, more Megamind and Shrek to come.

FWIW, Jonah is actually terrific for what it is. Great songs and it’s quite funny, too.

Hmmm…I donut think it looks any "worse" than any other recent DWA film, or early 00s release. Matches up to the first one and better animation than the Spirit film.

I didn’t realise it was basically a TV movie, though. What is it with Uni/DWA and making so many small screen releases all of a sudden?
