Well, that was the rare occasion where it actually WAS the kid's fault for feeling "misunderstood".

(And thus no metaphorical need for the adult legacy characters to "get in touch with their Inner Disney again" to restore family understanding, since we see adult Wendy pretty much had her Pan nostalgia down to begin with.)
