Aardman's Chicken Run (Franchise)

Post by Daniel » April 18th, 2023, 3:16 pm

Synopsis for the sequel:
Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy's farm, Ginger has finally found her dream – a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger's happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland, the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk – this time, they're breaking in!
First look at Molly:

A perfectly normal, human thing to say.

Really makes no sense not to have Julia back. Newman is only four years younger! And they’re bringing back other cast members.

Nice that all of the chickens look exactly the same, though. They’re even keeping the scarves they have to hide the spots where their heads turn (something that can easily be erased in post these days).

That looks adorable! I’m excited. :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Well, although not a frame-by-frame job anymore, it’s still not "easily" done, and not inexpensive or time-wasting on a film with a relatively small constraints. It makes sense to not only keep this "trick" as a way to keep costs down, but also keep the characters consistent: we’re already going to be all over this in terms of changing voices! :)

Alright. That makes sense. It drove me kind of nuts in the recent Wendell and Wilde that such things weren’t removed, resulting in everyone looking like they had broken faces.
