Really? Thought this was:
A) Their new attempt at a Legacy House Franchise, like the kind that Warner and Sony want to beat into the ground, coupled with
B) Their VHS-vidquel realization that, as long as "everyone's watching them anyway", why not use them as 90-minute infomercials to jumpstart old forgotten titles that aren't selling anymore, and hope for a new "cult rediscovery" like Alice and Hercules got? Hey, as long as it's "just" streaming, why not a live-action Aristocats?
That's how we got Bambi II, after all, and Fox & the Hound 2.
