I do agree with you.

I see the plan for American Dog and the film Bolt as almost two distinctly different creative works. I'd love for Sanders to make his film some day. I think it could actually be different enough than Bolt not to look like a repeat.

I have been extremely vocal in my disappointment that Chris Sanders was not allowed to stay on the project and steer it to match his vision. I've only been hearing good things about Bolt, so I'm looking forward to it, but it does look a lot more generic than the edgy, artistic vision Sanders had.

As for the reason my avatar says Bolt when it's not? I think few people besides animation fanatics know about when on behind the scenes of Bolt. They just assume Sanders' art is early art for Bolt, when it really isn't as American Dog was scrapped.

I did. It feels a bit sacrilegious to have one of Sanders' artworks labeled 'Bolt' when the removal of him from the project caused him so much pain.

Hmm, any idea why my second image is now X'd out or is that just happening to me?

Changed avatar, Snoopy again! This will be my second time using it, though I was a little tempted to switch to this one... but I love how cute he looks on the pumpkin.

Strange how it doesn't move... I tried putting the actual link, but it wouldn't go through, had to save it on my computer and change it to a JPEG. Shame, since it was subtle and not annoying like my old Sonic avatar.

In any case, it's still cute. And a real sweet moment.

Ok, i'll play too!

My avatar is some concept art of the main character from the graphic novel i've finally started working on. It's a concept that has it's roots in my years as a 2nd grader, became reimagined as a comic strip (and then put on the back burner) in high school, was reignited in 2004 when i tried pitching it as a show to a few networks and as of right now is my main "big" personal project about 3 unlikely dinosaur friends.

My new sig (oddly coinciding keeping with the Snoopy themed avatars) is from an article i read recently from an interview with the late great Charles Schulz. A man whom i have always had great respect for both as a cartoonist and as an individual. Not many have left the enduring legacy he has.
