SNL takes on... live-action Bambi
SNL took a stab at how Disney is going to make a live-action Dumbo directed by Tim Burton by doing a spoof trailer of a live-action Bambi. Starring The Rock.

Boy, once SNL gets a hold of one Bambi II joke, they don't let it GO, do they?
This's what, the third Disney/Bambi II-bashing sketch they've done?
(Someone's a little oversentimental for Robert Smigel, back when any 00's jab at Eisner was "bold" and "revolutionary"...)

Actually, it's not a Bambi II joke at all...?
It's more a case of attacking Disney's new trend of love-action revisionings of their classic animated films with new contemporary tones. Nothing to do with Bambi II whatsoever (that store rack was a photo Droo posted back from the DVD's release it would seem).
The Rock as Bambi spoof is one of the best made and well observed such clips I've seen in a while. I've sent links to multiple friends and keep watching it.
Cause, you know, I'm always...thumpin'...
