That's some awesome art! :)

It's a real shame this film didn't get made. :(

Cool art! ...but I guess I'm in the dark as to what this would have been about. Must not be reading the right stuff, I guess. :P

I'd love to see DW do some more 2D stuff like Prince of Egypt or Spirit. In spite of the story issues Spirit had, it was absolutely beautiful to watch.

There's a tiny bit about it here from the Tortoise/Hare thread. (from a 2001 JK interview)

After that is the CG-animated movie Tusker, an action-comedy in development, very much inspired by that kind of WWII, impossible-mission gang story. Wonderful cast for it: Morgan Freeman, Jodie Foster, Garry Shandling, Bruno Kirby, Dana Carvey — a real fun cast for that.

I wonder if any scratch tracks were recorded, or even if the film might ever be made? Sounds immense fun.

Those are very cool paintings. I'm really glad to see that Disney is doing "The Frog Princess" in 2D traditional style. I hope they're smart enough to make that movie at a price so it can be considered "successful" even if it doesn't earn Pixar size grosses. I was a little surprised to hear about Randy Newman replacing Alan Menken (and Glenn Slater) as the composer on the film. There are so many great songwriters out there (pop songs, singers, etc) that I don't understand why people keep going back to the same composer well every single time...
