Spinstress, The Disney Princess of the Spider-Verse

The Spider-Man comics are entering a new Spider-Verse phase this year, along the way introducing even more Spiders to add to the ever growing roster. Chief among them was introduced the other day in Edge of Spider-Verse #4. This would be Princess Petra of Earth-423. And with the power of song she becomes Spinstress, the Disney Princess of the Spider-Verse.







The story is written by David Hein, best known for co-writing the Broadway musical Come From Away, and art by Luciano Vecchio, who has illustrated notable books such as Fantastic Four and Champions.

To further commemorate the release of the story, Hein managed to get in touch with Arielle Jacobs, who has played Jasmine in Aladdin on Broadway, to record the song that appears in the first two pages.



The obvious question now is when Disney will adapt her in animation.
