On animated feature: It's a coin toss between "Cars" and "Happy Feet". However, my money would probably lean towards the dancing penguins if I was a gambler.
On Best Picture: "The Departed" will win for Drama. No contest there.

Though my brain contains a rather unusual bout of short term memory loss, I'll do my best to remember to watch the Golden Globes. Personally, I hope
Happy Feet wins. *waits for everyone to gasp*

Two battles:
Babel vs. The Departed
Babel just HAS to win.
Cars vs. Happy Feet
Cars just HAS to win. (Although I loved HF too)

There is no way that "Babel" will win.
If it doesn't go to "Departed", "The Queen" will win. No contest.

Danny - Aha -- the first gasp!
Yeah, I loved
Cars, but
Happy Feet is more in my favor, for some reason. But I wouldn't mind it if
Cars grabbed the award. Both films are wonderful.

Babel's much better received in Europe than in America. Many critics called it THE oscar favorite.
And, Golden Globes' journalists aren't only from America.

Haha.
Yeah, I know. But I've only seen
Cars so I'm a bit biased

I remember when you wanted "Monster House" to win, Dan.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but the three BAFTA nominees are Cars, Flushed Away, and Happy Feet. So I pretty much guarentee that Cars and Happy Feet will be nominated but that third slot is wide open.

BAFTA has Flushed Away, because the humor and all is british.
I don't think that Flushed Away will get nominated for the Oscar.

Why shouldn't it be nominated?
I mean, Oscar loves British humor.

Danny - Ahh...no wonder. Well, I still say that you should see it.
Wendy's Jane - Yeah.
The Curse of the Were-Rabbit won last year, but that doesn't explain why
Flushed Away didn't get nominated. At least, I don't think that it got nominated, from what I heard.
But I agree -- it should at least win something. I thought it was funny. Not as good as
Happy Feet, but....
