I think he meant that it could gain public sympathy for them and thus increase the chance of an Oscar.

Could the Simpsons movie (when it comes out) ever stand a chance of Best Animated Feature??

This is a bit unrelated, but do you think that the guys who run the Oscars should add new categories to do with DVD releases? Best Major Theatrical Catalogue DVD Presentation, Best New Theatrical Release DVD Presentation and Best Anthological DVD Presentation (TV shows, short cartoons etc) would be a really cool idea, in my opinion.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think they'd ever do that. I have wondered about it myself, though.

probaply just a notch above the usual quality seen in the series, like Spongebob. South Park stayed just as crappy though :lol:
