With this news in mind, I would love to see Selick re-team with Tim Burton for Frankenweenie.Peter Debruge wrote:Selick had been looking for another feature to oversee, but with his contract up and no next project in place for him to tackle, the helmer decided to move on.

According to Alice in Wonderland producer Richard D. Zanuck, Burton's next feature will be Dark Shadows. But I think some development has indeed already taken place on Frankenweenie.
Still, I really hope Selick somehow returns to Disney. Something about his being there just feels right to me. I would love to see Selick, Lasseter, and Burton collaborate on a film. I imagine the result would be amazing.

Not exactly related but it has to do with Laika:
Jan Pinkava is directing his next project there:

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: Henry Selick leaves Laika
According to Variety, Henry Selick has struck an exclusive long-term deal to make stop-motion features for Disney/Pixar.
In the report, I found this quote particularly noteworthy:

Variety wrote:"I'll quote Dick Cook right after 'James and the Giant Peach' was finished. He said, 'We don't believe this is a viable medium anymore, and we're not going to do it,'?" Selick told Daily Variety. "A few years later they shut down 2D. It's great that both of those things are back."
