Re: Disney Renaissance 2/Disney Revival
I honestly don't know how to respond to it since non of it was about the Revival and everything was about the Renaissance. Anyway I don't think any of the 95-02 films are viewed as troubled by either the studio or the audience. I have no idea who considers Hercules to be good nowadays unlike the oth...

Re: Disney Renaissance 2/Disney Revival
I guess this is the best thread to ask this: Do you feel that the Revival films left any impression or had any impact? Because it seems like they never really reached the same heights as those of the Renaissance. I also feel like, with the exception of the musicals, they were kind of forgettable. I ...

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
You might be right about Frozen II, I'm not so sure if it was 4K or not, I just read that it's not, but it might have been a mistake. The HDR of Beauty and the Beast doesn't have the red/pink tint the Blu-ray does as well so it's another advantage. I agree about the other animated films, I guess for...

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
The Rescuers Down Under was made with CAPS as well. It's considered to be the first digital film. From what I heard Toy Story 4 and Onward are native 4K, but the rest - including Frozen II are 2K. I think to me the selling point with HDR is that it gives the colors a natural look and the saturation ...

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
All the CAPS films were made at a 2K resolution. They upscaled them and applied HDR. Mulan should be the same.

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
I'm really interested to see it in 4K. I know there are many who don't think that 4K and HDR benefit hand drawn animated films, but I think the HDR managed to give Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King a more natural look over their oversaturated Blu-rays, and I liked The Little Mermaid's new resto...

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
That's disappointing. I do have the Diamond Edition of The Jungle Book and a UK Blu-ray of Fantasia, but I really wanted them to fit nicely with the others in the Signature Collection.
From what I heard Mulan is ready for release but they're waiting for the remake.

Re: The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
Isn't it weird that there still hasn't been any news about the Signature Collection of this and Fantasia? Do you think they're still happening?

It's in line with their decision not to release live action catalog in 4K anymore.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I feel like that the process that TENG went through is similar to other films, except here we were able to see the process. I think that Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin went through the same process. Actually watching The Sweatbox, I found it very similar to the Frozen II documentary with the excep...

You can find the Sweatbox on YouTube:
I'll try to look for Dream On, Silly Dreamer. It sounds interesting.
