What HD are you guys watching! What I've seen on display at stores hasn't won me over... The video images I saw on most of the high-def TVs on display looked "squiggly" and had compression artifacts all over the place. If this is supposed to replace 16mm film, please let's not ditch 16mm film yet! A...

I knew I'd read that "bully" line before when I wrote it. A quick Google search found it! http://www.digitalmediafx.com/Monsters/News/DreamWorks-THX-Issue-1.html DreamWorks has begun emulating past marketing tactics of Disney by trying to interfere with Disney/Pixar animated releases and as a result...

Can you believe it! DreamWorks is moving Shrek 3 to May 2007! Why? Katzenberg says: "The sheer magnitude of the Shrek franchise has led us to conclude that a May release date–with a DVD release around the holiday season–will enable us to best maximize performance and increase profitability"! They we...

I think Shrek 3 may be coming in late 2006. No way, Dreamworks wants a summer movie with a holiday dvd release. Remember, we must think like executives, that means in dollarsigns  from a story posted yesterday by Forbes: ...Meanwhile, Cohen said rival DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. plans to de...

I believe this release schedule will end up being best for Pixar. However, I don't doubt that because of a lot of the negative buzz around the Cars trailer that Pixar minds having extra time to maybe tweak the film a bit more!

The Muppets have more character in the "naked" hand underneath than the characters in The Polar Express. I agree! My basic point is that surely a film coming five years after Final Fantasy should look a lot more ADVANCED, shouldn't it? Polar Epxress is a giant step back. I agree! But the film is ju...

In fact, since the Shareholder meeting in March, Michael Eisner has not done one bad thing. Since then, he has: rejouvenated ABC this season, hired a new team at Disneyland thats giving the park an Extreme Makeover, bringing back the (newly aquired) muppets, and more. Roy and Stan's campaign was no...

But it speaks volumes that, as a HUGE Bob Z fan and someone who likes Hanks as an actor, that I haven't caught Polar Express yet, even though it's been out a week here in the UK I admit I was the biggest detractor of this film before I saw it. And maybe my low expectations were why I don't think it...

Not that I disagree, but you seemed to be singing a different tune when it seemed that The Polar Express would bomb!

Polar Express up to $100 million.. and still climbing!

The Polar Express is about to hit the $100 million mark and it is still climbing UP the box office chart! Two weeks ago it was number 5, last week number 4, this week number 3 - just barely missing being the number 2 film of the week! With three weeks until Christmas, I think The Polar Express' futu...

They'll never translate it to English or bring it to Broadway - it was actually good. Why bring it to a larger audience when we can just spend our time, energy, and money on Hunchback 3?
