And since the Warners are starting out by essentially repackaging the Paramount disks (except for the documentaries), that means we get Easter repackaged with "It's Arbor Day, CB"

(And no cracks about the title, it's one of the funnier specials!) :D

I think The Nut Cracker Prince is one of those under-rated movies. I love their adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. I could've done without the "safety-net" Fractured-Fairytales paean section, m'self. The Rescuers Down Under. As they say, A Disney Film Is Only As Good As Its Villain... An...

and that Rapunzel and Princess and the Frog "look like they're going to be big deal, box office pictures." Said one artist: "Rapunzel has really, really come together. Before it was a series of really nice moments, some really funny sequences. But now it has a real epic sweep to it. To me it has th...

Re: Do you know Chris?

Also, I'm not sure where you read that David Stainton was a hands off executive or that Chris referred to "his managment style as Hands off the Resident Geniuses". I'm pretty sure you weren't reading a quote from Chris. It's actually something more akin to what Pixar boasts of. They always refer to...

Hey...this is DreamWorks...they don't so understated! Knowing them we'll not only get more penguin screentime (to the point that they unbalance the movie) but we'll be introduced to their swarms of cousins or something. Considering that we're only getting more Madagascar marketing because DW though...

From what I've heard, "American Dog" was quirky and weird to the extreme. Whilst this quirkiness worked for "Lilo and Stitch", I doubt if it would have worked a second time, hence the major re-tooling. Although I've finally seen L&S:Movie enough times to realize that there was some actual emotional...

Re: Do you know Chris?

I've never really been a fan of Chris Sanders, and basically took DIsney's side when they kicked him out-- So knowing that they never wanted to make "American Dog", but are stuck with having to sell the reclaimed project to a real public now anyway, I applaud any attempt to make the "Bolt" version ...

yeah the article was a terrific read. It's so exciting to see what's in their pipeline. And Goldberg on Princess is awesome. He's so talented. So far, Goldberg's only biggest feature break was co-directing "Pocahontas"--and nobody really noticed who directed it, although it puts some of the funny-r...

It's nice to make princesses from other cultures but making millon new ones dosn't sound good. Considering that a much earlier Disney first floated "Enchanted" as a mean-spirited Shrek-kissup, back when Eisner had "Shrek"'s success on the brain and thought he had to protest too much in joining the ...

Like the quote in this week's interview:
"It's (Pixar's) first foray into science fiction."

(This, clearly referring back to "The Incredibles" being a documentary...) ;)

Yep, bad isn't it? At least the book type package makes something a bit more special about it, and I saved myself a Crimbo pressie by being able to give away the PAL set to someone ...That's one of those funny English words isn't it? (And yes, I know, I was able to identify it from an old Blackadde...

Fox is starting to become desperate with the marketing for this thing...and we still don't even know the plot! The new plot-friendly full trailer is already up at Apple, and...no "raisins", this time. (In fact, the old summer teaser seems to have "mysteriously" disappeared off studio sites without ...

What happened over the 'Pirates' story? Sounds interesting. ...(slaps on the back) Why, glad you asked that, friend! :D (No, I'll try to keep these short--I know we're pretty much agreed against gratuitous Jim-bashing, but it's my only other great summed-up "Off the deep end" story: ) Leaving aside...
