I think the leads - and Nolan - are all under contract for three. Batman: Joker Begins is apparently gearing up to start filming later this year for a 2007 release. BTW, I'm just joshin' on that title ;) Wow! They're going to start filming this year ? That' great! Needless to say I'm looking forwar...

Oh, my dear young beautiful Violet.. so much still to learn still  I understand what you're trying to say. But you're missing what those of us who say it's "realistic" mean. Nolan created a Batman world that is, at least, somewhat plausible , thereby adding some emotional weight to Batman. It'...

Just wanted to clear up: never said I wanted ANY of the campness of Schumacher in there - just that the knee jerk reaction seemed to be to get away from that as far as possible, and to the film's detriment, I think. Wasn't a knee jerk response, just something that had to be done if this franchise w...

I'm going to agree with AniMan on this one. To me, Batman Begins is the closest live-action has come to portraying Batman correctly. And as for the creative liberties that the film takes with the history of Batman, I am pretty sure that they are not as drastic as the ones taken in Batman or Batman ...

Saw Madagascar this past Saturday (6/18/05). How to sum it up? Hmmm.. I can't say it was bad. It wasn't. But I certainly can't rave about it, either. It was just.. okay. See it on video. The characters were entertaining for the most part, but the story loses focuse when we get to the island. It just...

Everything I saw of this film FROM DAY ONE had the writing on the wall that it's going to be another Hollywood poseur and a director that have to reinvent the same darn story all over again! That's boring! Why do you want to reinvent the wheel all over again? It's not a "re-invention", but more lik...

Well, I saw Batman Begins this past Sunday, and I've gotta' say: Ben and George, you guys BAFFLE me! This movie was EXCELLENT! They finally nailed the essence of who and what Batman is. This is the truest incarnation of the comicbook version Batman that we've seen on the big screen, EVER. Ben, you s...

Okay, I want to put my 2-cents in here, too. The early pictures they have shown us of Superman.. look... TERRIBLE! What the heck is up with the muddy-looking red and muted blue? And the too-small "S" on his chest? Not to mention this Routh guy is just too freakin' young for this part! Come on now! W...

 Y'know, I'm a little annoyed at something I keep reading in this thread. I keep hearing that the "adult humor" in a lot of Dreamworks films is unappreciated. I for one love it. The problem is not the adult humor. It's not whether Donkey kicks Shrek in the crotch or not. It's the fact that too...

Can you imagine Belle and the Beast being CGI characters? What about Quasimodo or Frollo? There are all types of storytelling in animation and while I do agree that it's the story that counts, I can't see a "worthy" animated film, with issues such as, say, the Kiling of the First Born or the Ten Pl...

Is anyone else kind of confused at the reaction Batman Begins is getting? It seems like it is a "love it or hate it" type of film. However, it should be noted that a number of critics are giving the film bad reviews due to the movie's darkness, remarking about how it is too scary for small children...

Not to be nitpicky, George, but you weren't completely right in your prediction; you had Madagascar coming in 3rd. It actually came in a pretty strong second. I had no doubt that Revenge of the Sith would come in #1 again, and I'm pretty damn HAPPY about that, too! I, too, have noticed that CG...

Re: I could.
So that’s my rant. Yes I’m a HUGE Pixar fan and I might be a little biased, but hey I think that most of you here will agree with me that Pixar just does it better. Ronald C Well, Ron, I happen to agree with you for the most part. I have always said the reason Pixar is so successful is because it's...

I always felt the teaser for Chicken Little was excellent; very funny and visually appealing. The trailer, however, was definitely not as good. And as far as Valiant is concerned, the trailer I've seen online makes me feel that this is going to be an excellent film. If, indeed, it is anything like W...

:o Hey, I forgot about Final Fantasy, Ben! That movie was.. interesting. It wasn't very good storywise, but it was engaging visually. It seemed experimental, and in a way, it is. It showed that you could do a serious CGI film, albeit a not-so-good one in this case. I'm hopeful for future endeavors. ...
