Great article, guys! Even I got a mention - thanks Ben! :D I really wish I could have attended more animation related stuff while at the Con, but it was difficult to "mix business and pleasure," if you know what I mean. :P Admittedly, it's still a bit difficult to find Blu-ray Disc information from ...

I concur with PixarVixen. There were far too many elements within the films that were... incredibly disjointed, at best. The humans' implicit acceptance of bees speaking perfect English, the entire plane landing scene, the sprinkling of any random pollen over any random flower to miraculously revive...

Just wait until Christmas, guys; Blu-ray's gonna make a real killing against HD DVD (which is already in its death throes) - and it'll make a big step up in exposure too. :D CES 2008 in January will be very interesting to watch. It's only a matter of time until Universal goes neutral, and/or other n...

USA Today: Disney hits the road to shine a light on Blu-ray
Full article here...
Disney is going on a tour to various malls across the U.S. to promote Blu-ray with a... really shiny kiosk!
Big props to Disney for so assertively promoting this great format. I hope it educates a few Joe Six Packs on the subject.

John Lasseter article at NY Times...
Hey!
Just fyi, there's a good article about Lasseter and his involvement at WDFA posted in the New York Times today; you can read it right here.
It's a bit of a puff piece, but there's some interesting tidbits, as well - like the Robinsons stuff, etc.

I'm with James' brief thoughts on the film, too. I had seen it opening night, and it just didn't do much for me. The voice acting felt hollow and stilted in a way - a step back even from the not-exactly-excellent voicework of the original. Even Queen Latifah's performance felt reined-in and kind of ...

As a huge fan of Babe , and also having watched the Hanna-Barbera Charlotte's Web a ton when I was young, I definitely concur with the majority opinion here... bleah. It looks way too "Hollywood-ized" - too many celebrity names thrown around; I mean, even the bit parts have celebrity voices! O_o And...

Err... well, for starters, you may want to edit the URL in your post into something shorter so it doesn't warp the page... like this.
But anyhoo, I selected that I have no interest in it. Because I don't. All this over-sensitivity is a load of hooey though, in my humble opinion.

LOL! Well, I was just being silly with the "proper" comment - I was just implying that I got my ROM to be region-free, as should be the "proper" default! ;-) But anyhoo, I managed to make my player "region-free" in a sense, through a software program called KProbe 2 - I can just open the program up ...

Hey, Ben! If you still need some help with screencaps, I've got both the Region 1 Watership Down DVD and the Region 4 Plague Dogs disc; my DVD-ROM is "properly" hacked, so I can get ya caps from both to help ya out. :) I can also take "comparison" shots from identical frames of the 2 versions of PD ...

Well, I managed to catch a re-run of this episode, and I dunno - call me jaded, but I don't really see how this is so outrageous. It's closer to SP's usual "shock-factor" comedy than the likes of "Scott Tennerman Must Die", which was a truly low and twisted episode (I myself refuse to re-watch it, i...
