Re: Shrek Forever After
Nothing can replace the theatre experience for me... I love going opening night when there's usually a big crowd in attendance. I have had a few bad experiences (a midnight viewing of "The Crazies" drew a teenage audience of chronic texters), but otherwise, the more the merrier. I love when audience...

Re: How to Train your Dragon
I saw "How to Train your Dragon" for the third time yesterday. I think it's one of the best animated films of the past ten years. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Re: Tangled (Formerly Rapunzel)
I thought the talking dogs in "Up" were completely jarring in tone and style.

Re: Tangled (Formerly Rapunzel)
I think evolution is the wrong word. Aren't we supposed to be getting smarter? With what's successful at the box office these days, I would conjecture audiences are getting dumber. Disney can't cater to the pop culture audience. We get results like Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons. Even Bolt wa...

The big one to watch will be Rapunzel. If the same kind of film does so much better simply because of the CGI appeal, then no-one can say that the audience hasn't spoken. :( Unless, of course, it's a better film with better word of mouth. I liked "The Princess and the Frog", but it was definitely a...

I just got back from the midnight showing, my second viewing. I just absolutely adored it this time. I definitely let my expectations interfere before. It might not live up to the classics but it's certainly a step in the right direction for Disney: their best animated film since "Tarzan" ten years ...

Could Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise be directing Snow Queen? And since Disney seems to be reviving projects now, could this upcoming Clements/Musker film be Fraidy Cat? That's what I'm personally wondering. I hope so. Clements/Musker would be more suited for Fraidy Cat. I was somewhat disappointed i...

I flew out to LA last week to catch the opening day screening of "The Princess and the Frog". We made a vacation of it of course and went to Disneyland, as well. By this action, I was obviously looking forward to this movie and with high expectations. I read in D23 Lasseter say this movie could've c...

Just saw this film in its finished form. You are all going to be very, very happy people. Details, please! I'm most concerned about the animation. I like what I've heard of the soundtrack for "The Princess and the Frog". I love the soulful, gospel flare. I really liked Randy Newman's work on "Cats ...

It's very nicely animated, if packed with a little too much "bounce". So often when other Studios wish to emulate the Disney style, they add a little too much swish and bounce, and I was getting that feeling a little here. On your voice question: Could it be that Goodman is voicing two characters C...
