Heck, I'm not even a country music fan, and I love the soundtrack. "McQueen's Lost" is one of the scores I can remember liking off the top of my head, but the rest is pretty good. I don't think it beats A Bug's Life or The Incredibles, but not too shabby. Matches the film well, and that's all it rea...

Heh, how dare they make the rats look like rats! :P I dunno, I never got the "oh my heck RAT" vibe, because he still runs and stands on two feet like a person, gestures like a person, and actually has a pretty stylized/cartoony face... I guess the only thing that makes the Secret of Nimh mice/rats a...

Um... Actually, I thought the point of the movie was essentially "we need to take time to stop and smell the roses once in a while." (Keep in mind, Lasseter cites the idea for this movie coming from a time when he took a vacation from his hectic work at Pixar to take it slow with his family.) Route ...

It wasn't the fact that the lip was there, so much as it contrasts so much with his blue fur. I found myself just watching it move when he talked, instead of watching his eyes like I probably should be. Maybe make the transition a little more gradual between colors? Not like it's terribly important,...

Saw the trailer with Cars. The animation is incredible, not too sure about the designs though. They're a little "toonier" than I might have done them, but then again, I have no clue what the tone of the movie is like. It very well may fit in the end. The blue fur doesn't bug me too much, but the ver...

I got back from the movie a couple hours ago, and... wow. Simple story, but great movie. And the BACKGROUNDS. Holy WOW the backgrounds. I went with my family, and my mom leaned over at one point and asked me if the backgrounds were live action. I pointed out that the rock formations are still styliz...

I have a Lightning toy my friend got from a cereal box and gave to me. You pull it back and it goes. :D Right now they have the soundtrack for ten bucks at a few stores near me, and I'm definitely considering it. Ten bucks is not a lot, considering it's a new CD. I just hope it follows the tradition...

...Better movies? My reasons for not going to the movies too often: 1) I'm a cheapskate and hate paying six bucks to get in. 2) The movies I get excited enough about to see in theaters only happen 1-2 times a year. 3) I love DVD releases because I'm a special feature fiend. But I won't buy a DVD unt...

Re: Hammy and the Humans
As for the humans, the design reference for the movie was with the animals being the normal 5-6 foot height. All of the humans were made to be huge giants (as well as the world). This allowed the layout team, lighting and modeling to make the humans look incredibly massive and towering. That is why...

I went out and saw this yesterday with my little brother. Not quite up to the level I've come to expect from Pixar, but it's easily my favorite DreamWorks CGI film so far. My biggest surprise was how they actually managed to make Hammy the squirrel endearing in his hyperactiveness. I was annoyed for...
