Ooh... "ouch" is right. I expected less-than-average scores from this one, but THAT low... ouch.

That trailer where Jeremy Irons is talking... my brain pictures Scar. I just can't help it. :P

"Harry Potter of the Rings in Narnia?" That's good, heh. I kinda want to make it "Harry Potter of the Rings in Narnia: A New Hope," myself. ;)

http://pdl.warnerbros.com/wbmovies/tmnt/trailer/trailer_500.mov Quicktime version. I suppose apple.com will get the HD version eventually, but in the meantime I found this link. This movie doesn't interest me at all. Meet the Robinsons looks so much better. Conversely, I'm only mildly interested in ...

Meg wrote:Ooh, you watch trailers frame-by-frame as well? I get a kick out of that.
If they're animated, yes. :D I have the QT version of the teaser saved on my compy, and have gone through it several times that way. Heh.

Ah... that's EXACTLY it! I wondering why the Eragon trailer was bothering me so much... best my brain could come up with was "it's too...shiny." Which is close. All these blue swishes of magical shine and whatnot. They might have been able to sort of clean up the story, but now I doubt it. The book....

Well, I wanted to see it, but then again, I didn't want to see it, so I watched it with no sound. (I do that a lot with trailers, for some reason.) Sounds like good compromise. ;) I can say it does get better with repeat viewings. Just so long as I ignore the belch. The jokes get funnier just becau...

I'm confused. :P Whether Over the Hedge or Cars wins (assuming one of them wins), I actually wouldn't mind. I liked both a lot. My leaning would be towards Over the Hedge, and *gasp* I'm a Pixar fan! AND a DreamWorks fan! - of their good movies, that is, but still a fan. Yes, such things are possibl...

They have a TV show... yet another nail in the coffin of American 'toons. It airs/d (don't know if it's been cancelled or if it's still running) on 4Kids TV in the mornings, where the only good show was the new TMNT... until they ruined that show, too. *dies* A movie? Man... just walking down the to...

Much more catoony than the actual CARTOON (or at least the one I remember--I've never seen the new cartoon) Totally agree about over-acting, none of it is convincing at all. Heh. I'll bet you haven't seen the old 'toon in a while. It was pretty dang cartoony and silly. Serious moments? Of course th...

Trailer now available on MTV.com. Link: http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/284385/trailers.jhtml My commentary: I can't wait until some better-looking, more high-res versions come out. This video quality is pretty bad. That said, I think this should calm some fears about the expressiveness of the Turtl...

It would be interesting if the new one was rated PG-13...I'm not expecting it, but even so.... I know I wouldn't mind a PG-13... after all, the comic book Turtles killed Shredder in the first issue of the series. The source material is pretty dark at times. If you wanted, you could pull off an R wi...

We've received a report that the new TMNT movie trailer from Imagi is supposed to be available at MTV.com starting a week from today. It's also supposed to be showing with two holiday movies, "Unaccompanied Minors" and, as reported earlier, "Eragon". This was posted on December 1 - so looks like th...

Really? I got a comic book vibe from it myself...Didn't they do the whole thing in B&W, and then go back to add colors or something? Yes - according to interviews, it was lit as a black-and-white film first, in the style of film noir stuff from the '30s/'40s. Which makes me happy because whether yo...

I like the human designs. Except for the obviously evil guy, I find 'em appealing... which I assume was the point. I still dislike Remy's pink lip, but ohhhhh well. ;)

My animation professor (who has been in the business) said something about Pixar spending a couple years just working out the story to one of their films. 18 months might be the actual animation time, but...
