Re: pacific rim
Pan's Labyrinth by contrast had great acting. the whole film was great. very different than the MacDonald's we seem to be getting from hollywood these days. also , someone mentioned King Kong. Kong's acting as a cg element is amongst the best i had ever seen. the creature had so much emotion. unfort...

Re: jurassic park
well the prehistoric gods must be smiling at us, cause on Sunday at ILM, myself, Stefen, Randy Dutra, Phil Tippett and Dennis Muren will all be presenting Jurassic 3d and later doing a q and a. it has been 20 years since we were all together. spoke with Phil for a long while yesterday. it was great.

Re: jurassic park
Ben, the bone test which you see, is the one i did secretly. Stefen did the shader. no one including Dennis knew about this. i had it playing on a monitor in "large gfx" ( a room at ILM ) on the morning of Monday November 18 1991 purposely when Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshal walked in. i remembe...

Re: jurassic 4
Hey Ben, it was just a link to some demo crap. http://www.camoandplaid.com It's not going to be ILM? Then my WAG would be WETA ;) they did some exceptional work on T-Rexes in King Kong few years ago and there is this close bussiness relationship between Spielberg & Jackson recently... Does it make a...

Re: jurassic 4
i was an animator on jumanji of which joe directed. it was a peculiar film sadly shot in the over-cast climate of Vancouver making compositing scripts difficult. what i found with joe is that he is a nice guy. experienced. not a prick like the self-proclaimed ILM elite. joe successfully made the tra...

Jurassic Park
i like joe johnston. he get's it. he was very successful with captain america. i wish joe had been around for the 1st jurassic. it would have not been so political; rather, he would have embraced the revolution of how the rex was conceived and built from a trench level (because he is a true artist) ...
