What about Del Toro directing an X-men film? I enjoyed Hell Boy and Pacific Rim a lot. I don't know how knowledgeable he is about X-men but he does seem to be a big sci-fi and comic book geek.

I don't care if you hate Frozen but I don't appreciate the way EricJ insults anyone who likes the film or uses deragotory insults towards people with mental disorders or who are gay.

As a DTV, you could get away with saying, "yeah, this is more from the world of Cars", or even "this is like Cars but nothing to do with Cars" (except it is)...but not as a theatrical feature. Somewhere Over The Rainbow was also originally a song about Dorothy running away from her problems yet it's the most famous movie song of all time and has been a source of inspiration for decades.

Only if you completely ignore the song's context within the film, which is that she's solving her problems by running away from them and it's very strongly implied that she's fully aware of what her powers are doing and doesn't care. Calling the fans a "deranged cult" goes too far, I'll grant you, ...

Even the positive reviews I read of the film admitted it was a cliched story that would be an amusing enough distraction for kids but it's hardly justification for a whole new franchise.

Was the first Planes movie really all that successful to warrant a sequel? I seem to recall that it got a lot of negative reviews.
