Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

I fail to see how these don’t fall into the "family" category anyway, at least! So bizarre.

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

"Since the streamer prioritizes adult and family programming, kiddie programming such as Looney Tunes and Sesame Street was no longer viewed as a priority."

Kiddie!? He really doesn't know or get WB's own history, let alone Looney Tunes history, or what he has, do he?

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Probably a bit betterer, though, as they can’t take those digital files away from you, unlike removing something from D+. The only thing is a corrupted file, although discs can go bad too. Just keep moving them around or making dupes, although probably not that upset to lose those two! ;)

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Exactly Dace.

Winter snow = white snow.

You wouldn’t say she was born in the snow winter, right?

Hence White Snow is the more appropriate new title, to go with the new reason.

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Surely this new one, in trying to cover why her skin isn’t white as snow with a really lame alternative reason for her name, should just be called White Snow? After all, it is…

ECHO, ECHO, ECHO, ECHO… ;)

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

I certainly don’t have them all, but the ones I have we mostly got in to review, or else I probably wouldn’t have picked them up. I think I did buy the second Maleficent, but that’s because I liked the first one. I only ended up with Mulan because it was offered at Disney Rewards and I needed to use...

Re: Superman

So…ultimately, though, the super-kiss works. Right?

I mean, cellophane S and pointy fingers, and the one everyone knocks is actually the one that makes the most sense!

I’d already "heard" that…and then I cringed at how they use that.

Re: Disney Pixar's Elio

So given the recent trailer, is anyone getting excited for DreamWorks' Elio? Although being praised and promoted as an "original", it still looks and feels like a sequel, or at least a "blending" of other movies, to me, very derivative in its style, tone and, seemingly, story, all of which recall ot...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

For our sins we looked at the four-minute "sneak" on D+ last night, and I’m still getting over the hilarity of Snowy singing "ECHO, ECHO, ECHO, ECHO" repeatedly, in a shot with an unforgiving lens that gives her a massive-looking cake-hole — and we don’t hear an echo! We just have her singing "ECHO,...

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Cinders was indeed, unremarkable, as you say. I keep coming back to Maleficent and its so-good-we-didn't-know-we-needed-it sequel as being the most progressive yet faithful adaptation, and Dumbo, which gets trashed but actually covers the '41 film in its first half and then becomes its own thing, an...

Re: YouTube Goodness

"Niiiiicholaaaaas"…! The sequels weren’t much cop (though there’s some fun stuff in the bonkers Wonderland third one), but Care Bears Movie really is underrated and has some great things going on. It also beat out The Black Cauldron in cinemas. We had it on rotation on VHS back in the day and it’s ...

Re: Superman

These are some pretty kooky powers, but it’s a shame how often the super-kiss keeps getting trashed. Here’s the thing: Superman can’t make out with a human as, so the joke goes, he would "break them”. This is why, in the original (proper) movie continuum of Superman II, he has to give up his powers ...
