Re: DC Universe

So, I did something crazy last night. I watched Superman teaser reactions for over two hours. Yep. Watching reaction videos may be the biggest waste of time known to man, yes. But I couldn't help myself. The look of pure joy in the YouTube thumbnails got me. And once I watched the first one, I just ...

Re: DC Universe

Well, sure, but a lot has to do with expectations. And we had big expectations for sure, even if tempered with trepidation. I do see tons of people on social media who are absolutely thrilled, too. I look forward to getting a full trailer to get a better look.

Re: DC Universe

While I admittedly wasn't blown away (I might even admit to being a smidge disappointed), I still think it's going in a good direction. It's just a teaser, after all, and it's way too early to really judge. After all, we're still several months away from release. There's a whole lot of work to do on...

Re: Star Trek

Very nifty! I'm a big fan of TMP, too. Yes, the editing wasn't finished yet in the theatrical cut, and it shows; but the film has a real majesty to it and a great look overall. As Ben alluded to, it would take another film before we got the "real" characters back, but it was thrilling to see them in...

Re: DC Universe

Geez, wait for the teaser to actually show up. We've barely seen anything. I for one am pumped. And I love the brighter colours. Thank goodness it's eschewing the drabness of the Snyder films. I loved the Williams theme use, which was more of a homage tagged at the end of an ad for the teaser. It ma...

Re: Star Trek

And I was! Well, not in San Diego, but I did see it opening week. I was nine years old, and it was very exciting. I already loved Star Trek, and had an aunt who was also a fan, so she took me. I recall not thinking it had the right tone to match the show, and the editing was rough in spots (mostly n...

Re: DC Universe

The new Superman trailer comes out this week. I am actually really excited for it! The bright costume (albeit clunky-looking, but I can deal with it), integration of other DC characters, and basing the film on some exceptional comics makes this sound quite promising.

I've never heard of the property, but that actually looks fun.

Love it. I actually have a copy of the special with that opening, thanks to the collecting underground. :)

Re: Into, Across and Beyond the Spider-Verse

Yeah, it says: The looming box office failure almost certainly signifies the end of this endeavor at the studio. There ya go. Call it conjecture, call it rumour, call it speculation, but the Spidey spinoffs are dead. After the embarrassments of Morbius, Madame Web and Kraven, why would they continue...

Re: Into, Across and Beyond the Spider-Verse

So, on the eve of Kraven coming out, it was reported that Sony decided what had been obvious to all - that their whole Spidey universe has been such a failure (aside from some bizarre success for Venom) that they're ending it. Wow, way to erase all hope for Kraven succeeding! Of course, all of Krave...
