Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!
Pathetic, really. Maybe those gangster films shown with Looney Tunes cartoons back in the day were "kiddie" too?

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature
"Fan" of the remakes? Hm. It's more of a scholarly approach for me. I certainly do try to enjoy them, but largely I'm interested in seeing what they do with them. A lot the choices - the good, bad, and bizarre - are fascinating to me. They are mostly failed, pointless exercises, to be honest; but th...

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature
I have most of the live action remakes, which I do find bizarrely fascinating. Just nothing from Dalmatians (the Glenn Close films or Cruella). No Mister Toad. And no Cinderella, which I found uninteresting. But pretty well all the others are in my collection. That includes a laserdisc of the 90s Ju...

Re: Superman
What a long-winded excuse for a dumb idea. ;) Super kiss, indeed!! What rubbish. It turns SII from a fun sci-fi movie to a total fantasy, which never sat well with me. Okay, actually, I prefer the super-kiss to any use of going back in time to change things. I didn't care for it in STM (as much as I...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)
Those people pictured weren’t playing the dwarfs. Or dwarf characters. They are a band of thieves because this movie is also a Robin Hood remake for some reason. So the dwarfs (CGI or otherwise) were never being “replaced.” One reviewer floated the theory that those were intended to replace the dwa...

I never even bought Cinderella. Me, who collects everything Disney. -
That should say something.

'Twas the end of the Golden Age.
Too many films being pumped out, with too few new ideas.

I care, but likely won't get to the theatre. That rarely happens anymore.

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
MovieZyng sale on now! 4 for $49 (single disc Blu-rays). https://www.moviezyng.com/sale-items I've been holding off on buying WA titles for the past year, with a few exceptions, and now I'm ready to splurge on about two dozen titles. My wish list does still date back a few years, so this will be a b...

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
You're lucky, then. Or maybe you got later pressings. The discs from that Mickey & Judy set wouldn't load for me at all. I'm afraid to try my Fred & Ginger or Busby Berkely sets. The original Looney Tunes Golden sets, too. Adventures of Superman is also said to have been affected, and that would bre...

Re: Coco 2
I loved Coco, but it felt like a perfect self-contained film. A sequel is not warranted, but with Lee back to direct, it has a chance to be good. I do wish they'd stay away from sequels, though, for the most part.

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!
Hard to fathom WB ridding itself of Looney Tunes altogether (who would buy, one wonders), but the industry is strange right now.

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
This is old, old news, so it's funny how it's been suddenly picked up by so many sites lately. I haven't the heart to methodically go through all my discs from that period, but I will be sure to find issues. It is another reason to upgrade to Blu-rays or 4Ks when possible. I did just find out my Tar...
