Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
If the price is the same as CBS All Access I'll be all over it. CBS All Access is something to complain about and definitely not worth paying for. Disney Plus looks to be much better with existing and new content. CBS just has CBS. Until 21st Century Fox is fully in, I don't think we'll see it linke...

Re: Upcoming Aardman Features
Love Shaun the Sheep! There was so little promotion here in the USofA. That could not have helped. Box Office Mojo shows a $59 million foreign (outside of the US) take. Was most of that in the UK? Could also be US audiences just aren't into it. My kids and I love Wallace & Gromit (with established v...

Re: Strange Magic
but the Touchstone name is certainly not on any of the posters or publicity handouts, and even then the LucasFilm logo is also slightly lost. The main angle seems to be this "From the mind of George Lucas" blurb, which doesn't say much and probably doesn't help the sell. That is what I've been seei...

Re: Strange Magic
Well, Strange Magic isn't a Disney picture - I don't even think it's going out under the Touchstone banner. Important point. I thought it was going to be released under Touchstone but I'm not even seeing Touchstone associated with it. The previews/trailers looked too campy and played down the music...

Disney got Oswald back and have done so little with him since.

It was on there, just not the same shape. It is now rectangular with a lower profile. Seems to make more sense. The last one got torn off during Return of the Jedi.I noticed the lack of a visible radar dish on the Millennium Falcon itself.

Frozen's performance will be hard to beat. While I won't be surprised if Big Hero 6's performance beats it, I also won't be surprised if the Japanese elements don't draw enough to do so.

Re: Big Hero 6
Pretty obvious there would be a post-credit scene, though: Disney's been doing that since Lasseter took over, putting little things at the end of their films, as Pixar did, to "reward" those that sat through the credits (which, to be fair to Disney and Pixar, they do try and make entertaining by wa...

Re: Big Hero 6
LOVED it! Took most of my gang to it. My oldest daughter (11) was more enthusiastic about it then she was with Wreck It Ralph (comparing non-princess movies). I expected the enthusiastic likes from my sons but not my daughters (though I was sure they would like it). My oldest son (18) missed the Sta...

Re: New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie
I went to see this at the theater with my oldest son who was a big fan when he was a kid. It was okay but the story was dull and the turtles looked like they were on steroids. I guess the overall feeling after watching it can be described as - meh. The origin story being retold, even with the new sp...

I like it and I don't. Maybe some of the bigger, more substantial items done in the old way followed by other news as the new format lists it? In other words, some headliners followed by "lesser" news.

Re: Remakes! Remakes! Read all about 'em!
I guess the remakes would end if people would quit going to see them. I don't believe there is actually much enthusiasm for an Indiana Jones reboot but some good stories with a new lead wouldn't disappointment me. They really can't use Harrison Ford and Shia Labeouf apparently is not in a mental sta...
