Re: How to Train Your Dragon 2
All my kids really wanted to see this one with my oldest being the most enthusiastic. So, I took them all for a 3D showing for my birthday. It was a great movie! Like most here, I can't understand why it is not doing better and I wonder why for the same reasons. I thought this one was going to be a ...

Re: Planes: Fire & Rescue
Jeeze... why all the Planes hate? Yes, it was not originally even going into theaters but it did well enough to warrant another go with a sequel in theaters. It wasn't all that bad. No, it didn't get the story treatment that comes with a bigger budget movie meant for bigger budget quality but it sur...

Re: Muppets Most Wanted
I definitely hope Muppets Most Wanted is better than the last one which was dullsville. I rented it on Blu-Ray to introduce Muppets to my kids. Now they don't want anything to do with Muppets. From the previews I have to say this one looks more like what a Muppets movie should be.

Re: New King Julian and Puss 'n Boots series for Netflix
I really enjoyed the Penguins of Madagascar. I even liked the voice talent for the penguins better than the movies (Kowalski and Private).

Re: Peanuts
I agree with Randall. The CGI is not over-done which is what I was concerned about when I heard about a Peanut's movie. I wonder what the 3D will add to it. My biggest concern at this point is the story.

Re: Most underrated animated movie
While not thrilled with the concept, I did enjoy the execution of A Monster in Paris. Enjoyable characters, designs and overall look. I also enjoyed the musical numbers. I was pleasantly surprised when watching it on Netflix. My kids enjoyed it as well, warranting multiple viewings.

I hope you are right, Bill1978. I just can't imagine how at this point but I will see the movie and know for sure.
Mulan without Mushu? Can't imagine it. His character design fit good in movie and he had an important role to play.

Re: Disney's Frozen (formerly Snow Queen) 2013
The only thing I didn't like from the trailer was the snowman. Seems out of place. Not only does he/it seem unnecessary but the character design is odd and doesn't go with the feel of the rest of the character designs. Sure, Frozen became a possibility again because of the success of Tangled but I c...

Re: Question: AV Blog?
I'm an old fogey that still likes forums. They still seem to be the best way to include community interaction on more equal terms. Maybe some modern touches might be beneficial like social media links. I don't know. I pop in every few weeks to see what discussions are happening. Blog sites have draw...

Re: Big Hero 6
Disney has a "canon"? What exactly is it and why is it important to know whether or not Big Hero 6 will be part of it? I've never considered Disney to have a "canon". Marvel does have a canon, however, with most of its characters having crossover connections and existing in a common "universe" for t...

Re: Finding Nemo 2 (yes it's real)
Ellen DeGeneres introduces Finding Dory (or better yet - it was announced here - as I knew it must be but didn't see it before). So, no, Finding Nemo 2 is not real because it will be called Finding Dory. Yes, I know...

The Godzilla movie is currently filming (ComingSoon.net).
Moulin Rouge is not gay. Some like to call any movie with singing and dancing gay.
