Disney is really pushing the anniversary hard. In addition to all the social media stuff, D23 this fall is getting “premiere” showing of the film, and it’s being included in a concert along with the heavy hitters from the 80s and 90s.

To be fair to the haters, if the movie is any good it won't be because Disney stuck to their original script but because they felt compelled to change it after criticism.
