http://www.animated-news.com/archives/00001056.html The only notable thing that occurred during the Q&A was that reknowned shareholder activist Evelyn Davis rose at every opportunity to ask questions interrupting Eisner and even other shareholders at times. She originally had the audience laughing ...

DisneyWorld tips

I am now 90 days away from my first trip to DisneyWorld since 1980! My parents, my wife, and our 2 kids (ages 4 and 1) will be going for 6 days. Any tips or suggestions for what to do to get ready, or what to expect while there?

Last year I remember walking past the posters of Now Playing films. As we passed them I wondered if someone at the theatre was having some fun. The first poster was "The Passion of the Christ". The second was "Miracle". The third was "The Return of the King"!

The top story on his website right now is "Fahrenheit 9/11 Named Best Picture of the Year by the American People"! He has no shame!

I'll do another Oscar nominated short film roundup in a few weeks. Among the links I listed last year were some clips of the nominees from AWN. I'll post what I find!

...Passion of the Christ should have been nominated (and won) for best foreign language film (yes, I think latin is as foreign as it gets)... Passion, along with several other high profile films, was not eligible for the Foreign Language Oscar this year. Fortunately, it looks like the rules may be ...

Only one real surprise (somewhat) here: The Incredibles nomination for Best Original Screenplay. I'm very, very pleased to hear that because it seems that the Academy all too often overlooks animated films for this category, as though an animated film does not need a script or screenplay... Shouldn...

Welcome back, Ed! I have to admit that I've only seen one of the nominees for animated short ( Lorenzo ), but I was surprised to not see Boundin' on the list. I really liked it (although it seemed and odd pairing with The Incredibles ). How did the academy overlook that one? Were the other nominees...

I actually think the new policy is worse for another reason. Read the fine print. If you don't bring the movie in by the due date, they give you a seven day extra grace period. After seven days they charge your account for the price of the movie and you now own it! I switched to Netflix last year an...

This awards show has lost what little credibility it had. It switched this year from Gallop polling for winners to internet polling. That is why there were so many winners that did not match what appeared to be the People's actual Choices - they had internet campaigns stuffing the ballot boxes.
