Has anyone read the original novel? Is it any good?

I don't think I'll watch Watchmen.

My short attention span makes watching movies more than 2 hours very very challenging for me.

Maybe I will just grab the DVD when it's out.

I will only watch it if I'm paid to. Why can't they do it in 3D like they do the games?
