Re: The John Lasseter saga

I admit I'm checking this out solely for Menken's songs and was disappointed the trailer had no trace of the songs or even mention he contributed original songs. There is a clip of Rachel singing a song that is best described as Part of Your World meets Let It Go. As a fist listen I enjoyed it and h...

Re: DreamWorks' The Wild Robot

Don't get me wrong, this movie is far from cracking my all time animated top 10 but I feel lately that the majority of animated films coming out of America lately have been aimed at the kid market instead of the family market. I found it refreshing to finally have a family film again, sure it's deri...

Re: DreamWorks' The Wild Robot

Decided to have a spontaneous trip to the movies yesterday to watch this and I didn't regret my decision. It has been a long time between Dreamworks movies for me. Pretty sure the last one I watched was The Croods 2. It's been so long, I had no idea they changed their studio vanity card thing. I hav...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe

As someone who has red-green colour blindness, could someone please tell me what colour hulk is in the trailer. Because what I thought I saw doesn't seem to match up with anything on the Wiki page for the movie.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe

Technically I've had very little interest in the Agatha spinoff. I wasn't a major fan of her in WandaVision and didn't think her theme song was incredible either and never understood why Marvel needed to give her a spinoff. BUT. If it's true that Joe Locke is Billy Kaplan, after reports denied he wa...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

At the moment it hasn't happened in Australia with my quick search. And if this is the path Disney plans on going for the public to watch their products at home, then they really should not be removing titles from Disney+

Re: Oscar Chat 2024

From what I understand, there have been some animated films that have been submitted for Best International Feature that were ineligible for Best Animated Feature because they had not been shown in a cinema in the US during the eligibility period. From what I can gather, International Feature submis...

Re: 96th Oscar Nominations

Finally, I can stop pondering during movies opening credits, why it's only the casting agents that don't get recognized out of all the areas that are deemed worthy enough to be placed on a movie's opening credits at the Oscars. I am looking forward to my first good night sleep in decades.

Re: 96th Oscar Nominations

My main issue with Spideyverse 2 is the lack of closure to the movie's story. I have a similar issue with Deathly Hallows Part 1 and to a lesser extent Infinity War. They all feel like a 2 hour long teaser for the actual movie that isn't/wasn't released yet. But yet the Middle Earth movies never mad...

Re: 96th Oscar Nominations

I am so excited that Nimona got nominated. It's my favourite animated feature of 2023. I thought I had done all my homework with the Animated Feature category but then the Academy had to go and nominate Robert Dreams. I do like how the Animation Branch takes their voting seriously though and refuse ...

If you want the BluRay for the quality I say buy it. Can never have too many copies of a movie.

Re: Pocahontas

I like watching the complete version. If I Never Knew You is an incredible song and adds extra death to the romance and the lead up to the finale - you would think by the 4th movie Katzenberg would trust Menken and ignore the test results. For someone who wanted an Oscar worthy adult film, it seemed...
