Re: Big Hero 6
Yeah... What droo said! I was really surprised at how much I liked it. There were quite a few predictable things that happened plot-wise, but I really didn't care about that in the end. Hey droo? About that really dark sequence: Are you talking about the part when Hiro removes the green chip from Ba...

Re: Best superhero actor?
While I wouldn't exactly call him "the best", my personal favorite is Adam West.

Re: Boxtrolls
I don't care what the actual film is about, I was hooked after they posted that lovely "this is how we made it" teaser last year. I just love stop-motion as a medium, and seeing that made me really happy.

Re: Disney's Frozen
Seriously, WTF was that??? I first thought it was a long introductory segment as well. I kept sitting there thinking this is kinda stupid, I wonder how much longer it'll go o- wait, what??? That's IT?? It wouldn't have been a big deal if there had actually been a proper "making of" segment elsewhere...

Re: Disney's Frozen
And what exactly makes you better qualified to "tell the difference between a good film and a bad one"?
Lol, someone clearly has trouble discerning fact from opinion.
P.S.
It's not nice to call people "idiots" for not having the same taste as you.

Re: Disney's Frozen
Disagree. It fits within the context of the film, because she's a character that goes nearly her entire life with this "bottled up" power that she doesn't know how to control but is clearly tied to her emotions. It's pretty clear that in order to contain her ice powers, she has to repress her emotio...

Re: Disney's Frozen
The difference is that Everything Is Awesome actually works very well as an uplifting message. Let It Go is about solving your problems by running away from them and implies that she's fully aware of what her powers are doing and doesn't care. How is that uplifting again? No, It's about refusing to...

Re: Disney's Frozen (formerly Snow Queen) 2013
Like Josh, I really enjoyed Frozen , but not as much as the last two films. I'm thinking that might've been a result of my expectations being unfairly high, so I'm planning on seeing it again while it's still in theaters. Arg, I know exactly what you mean, droo! I've had that exact same problem tryi...

Re: The Little Mermaid
I'm really disappointed that they cancelled the wide theatrical release. :( I'm not a fan of 3D films in general, but it can add an interesting effect to 2D animation. I thought TLK looked great in 3D. B&tB on the other hand... The 3D didn't really do much for it, and after a few minutes I forgot it...

Re: "Wreck-It Ralph"
I saw it yesterday, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, along with the Paperman short (some lovely animation in that).
I also want that "Sugar Rush" game to be a real thing.

Re: The Secret World of Arrietty
Hey Randall, I agree with just about everything you said in your review for the film, but I'm curious about one thing; how exactly did you feel that Summertime actually reflected the film's theme? My general dislike for that genre of music aside, I felt that the lyrics were totally irrelevant to the...

Mouse Under Glass by David Koenig is also a good one.
