Re: Muppets Most Wanted
Are the Muppets ever bad? It's one of those constants in life that you can always count on.

Re: The Croods
The Croods really surprised me. The setpieces and creature designs are amazing. The advertising and even intro was super misleading though. It made it seem like the movie was going to be about Eep and sort of like a caveman Brave. But the movie was REALLY about the Grug, the dad and his personal jou...

Re: Turbo
Turbo looks pretty horrible to be honest, but Dreamworks has consistently surprised me since How To Train Your Dragon. Even Shrek 4, Megamind and Puss in Boots ended up being pretty good.

Re: Monsters University
Personally I thought that track worked great in both instances it was used. During the montage where Mike and Sully are going through the scaring program and during the photo montage of their Monsters Inc career

Re: Monsters University
See I thought his score was great because he stuck with the university band/drumline thing throughout the ENTIRE soundtrack. It's kind of subtle at times but I thought that was a great touch.

Re: Monsters University
Monsters University was fantastic and I agree that the critics aren't basing their reviews on how good the movie is and instead how good the movie is compared to other great Pixar movies. And it's a shame because it's really good, the animation is beyond stellar, and they chose a message that is pre...

Re: Big Hero 6
I meant someone else's property created before most people today were born. So not counting fairy tales and the like: Sherlock Holmes, Oliver Twist, Peter Pan, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Treasure Island, etc. I think Meet the Robinsons is the most recently created original property made into...

Re: Big Hero 6
It looks like Big Hero 6 IS being made by WDFA? edit: "Although Big Hero 6 will be produced solely by Walt Disney Animation Studios , several members of Marvel's creative team will be involved in the film's production including Joe Quesada, Marvel's chief creative officer.[11] Regarding the film's s...

Re: Planes
Cars 2's biggest problem is that it should have just not had Mater or McQueen in it at all. Because all the spy bites were awesome, but the movie was really held back by Mater and Lightning.

Re: The Croods
I'm not saying that DW has never copied things in the past but I think these comparisons are streching things a bit. ;) Lots of movies have had sunset/cliff perspectives, just like lots of films have had superheros in them: (Incredibles/Monsters vs Aliens.) The sun rising or setting over a cliff ha...

Ugh Brave won over Wreck-it Ralph. Pixar did not deserve to win this time.

Re: 2013 Oscars "Best Animated Film" Nominees
I'd hate to see Brave win. It was perfectly fine, with astouunding animation, but far from a classic story-wise. I'd be fine with WIR winning. Yeah, Brave was just not as good as Wreck-it Ralph. And if WIR loses to Brave then it'll just seem like they won because they're Pixar. WDFA deserves to win...
